After spawning less than five minutes from the village (though he probably spent half that time freaking out), he's spent the last ten minutes or so flicking through it. [Alternatively, you can find a fairly youthful kid wandering around like an idiot, after donning one Raira High uniform. While he was planning to get the general geography of the village in his head, from the look of things he's just gone and gotten himself lost.]

[As you might expect, Masaomi Kida was not someone Aoba had expected to run into. If his fading hair colour (and the fact he knew where to find bleach for it of all things) was anything to go by, he'd probably been here a while. For some reason, he finds that... oddly amusing. Not that he shows it, mind you. When he responds, he looks as innocent(!!) and surprised(!!) as you'd expect from a schoolboy being addressed by a total stranger.]

That's... a uniform a recognize. Is that Raira? [He steps out to get a bit closer to try to examine the kid. No, he doesn't recognize him but the kiddish thing bears some sort of similar feeling. But hell, for all he knows it could be someone in the past or future. It could be anyone or it could be coincidence]

[His eyes widen a little at that, before he gives an emphatic nod. To be honest, he looks like he's trying his best not to sound too relieved or anything.]

Yes, I just started this year. [He pauses, before a smile appears on his face.] Ah... are you another student?

[~~HE IS DEEPLY SUSPICIOUS~~ no more like if he had reason to be suspicious he'd be. But oh... so this guy is in their year? Or it could be a timeline thing, like he thought. A brief contemplative look crosses his face. Because really... Mikado (who is now tainted a bit) and Anri aside, his luck with his world showing up here isn't great: Shizuo, Izaya, even Celty he thought was dangerous at first]

[That look fades quickly though, and a bright smile comes onto his face] That's right~ Ah, I'm a first year too; Masaomi Kida.

[He catches that look, naturally. It's no real surprise that Masaomi doesn't trust him, and all really it means is that he'll have to endear himself to him a little.

Anyway, you know that whole 'restraint' thing? Yeah, that's going out the window the second he hears Masaomi's name, as excitement makes it's way onto his face. Don't mind him bro, just edging a little closer. What's a little personal space between schoolmates? ]

Wait, you're Kida-senpai? [Oh boy, this is the flirtatious ladykiller all the other first-years talk about! Clearly (clearly), that bit about being a first year too must have flown over his head!]

To be honest, I've only really heard about you from my classmates, so meeting in person like this is a bit of a shock.

Ah, well, I've been known to shock a great many people! I am an impressive character, after all, Aoba-kun. [The pause for his hesitation there was very light, he just laughs it off now]

Yep! Most of the people in my year have heard of you. [What with all the flirting and the being incredibly fabulous and the eloping with your girlfriend.]

Ah, now that I think about it, that would probably go for most of my senpai too.

Sooooo~ [And now a flabulous arm pump, and a grin] You might say I'm very famous!

[He leaps a half-step back, rolling his shoulders and laughing at his own actions]

[He'll give a wiiiide smile before he joins in on the laughter. It's not really the proper way for an underclassman to act but... So cool, he's so cool!]

Uh-huh! I think even Mikado-senpai's mentioned you once or twice!

[Briefly, his face flickers to a more brooding expression. Mikado. huh. But he just finishes the laugh lamely after that brief pause]

Ah, that's to be expected.
